I received this planner in exchange for my review. All thoughts and opinions are all mine.
One would think that as an empty-nester my life would be LESS busy. That the need for having a planner would be a silly idea and that just a simple calendar at home would be enough. Yet, I am here to tell you today that this is totally untrue.
You see, it seems that as your children grow up and one day move out of your home, your life DOES get busier, but the lack of ability to keep it organized AND to remember everything becomes harder.
So, yes… a planner is needed.
In a world of smart phones and tablets, most people seem to have their life stored away in the memory cards of all their electrical devices. I too have tried keeping track of everything via my phone, but I found that I miss having a paper copy, so to speak, to write on, scribble over, and have on hand when I need it.
It may seem old school, but I like being able to take a pen or pencil and write down Birthdays, special events, and even the dreaded Dentist appointment that’s six months away. I’m not sure what it is, but just having a planner in hand makes life seem a little more organized.

this adorable and sturdy planner thoroughly impressed me. I’ve have tried many planners in the past, but this one covered all the basis on the things I was always looking for.
My favorite features are the daily devotions (like a nice smile added to your day), the What’s For Dinner section, and the My First Four section. All of these were features I have never really seen in a planner before and ones that I find myself using all the time.
When I first received the planner, I was actually a little confused on what some of the features were meant for. But, I quickly found the How To Use page (I never look at the front of the book first) which was a great quick reference key that explained it all to me.
Now I find myself not only using this planner for keeping myself organized, but I’m using it as a place where I can write down prayer requests and general thoughts throughout the day.
I also enjoyed the personal touch given to this planner. Deana, the creator, greets you in Christ at the very beginning of the planner and lets you know that she is praying for you. How sweet is that. She also encourages you to be in contact with her via her social media pages. I’ve never seen that in a planner before either.
All in all, I can say that I am loving this Anchored Press planner. I’m going to be keeping an eye out for her 2017 Planner so that I can get my hands on that first thing. The 2017 planners release late August and that, thanks to this year’s success, there will be an expanded product line! 2 formats, more color options and a separate prayer journal. One of the planners has 52 devotionals, 1 for each week written by some amazing women of God such as Christine Caine and Jenni Catron!
Great Deal Alert! The current 2016 planners are 40% off which is a great deal because there are still 7 months left in the year to enjoy them.
