This is my first official blog post at a Now Wellness Ambassador and I couldn’t be more thrilled. If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen pictures of some of the other products that Now Foods sent me. I’m having such a great time sharing my experiences with you as I try out each of these products and I hope you’ll continue to follow along.
What are we trying today..
Today, I’m going to share with you my experience in using the Living Now All-Purpose Gluten Free Flour. I decided that I would try out this all-purpose flour mixture using a recipe that I’ve used over and over in our home. This gluten free Focaccia Bread is one I make quite often when we are having some kind of Italian dish. It’s easy to make and usually turns out really well each time, so I knew this would be a good recipe to try the flour with.
First, a little bit about the flour…
Living Now Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour is always made without Dairy, Wheat, Soy, Nuts, Eggs, is produced in a Dedicated Gluten-Free Allergy-Friendly facility, and each 17 oz box equals 3 cups of conventional flour.
The flour is a wholesome, natural, Non-GMO blend of ingredients that can be used like ordinary wheat flour.
Now…Baking with Living Now Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour
My recipe for Focaccia Bread calls for two different flours and a starch, so I decided to replace those with the Living Now Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour to see how it would work out.
When I first started putting together the ingredients, I realized how nice it was to be able to measure out just one thing of flour rather than 3 different kinds. The flour was light and easy to work with also.
The mixture came together nicely and the bread was very easy to work with. The texture seemed exactly the same as when I usually make it, so that was a good sign.
I let the bread rise, than bake, and than I pulled it out of the oven with fingers crossed and a whispered prayer…
Yes! It worked!
After a quick cool down, I sliced it up and served it with the spaghetti dinner we were having.
The bread tasted AMAZING! It was perfectly baked all the way through, no gummyness or breaking apart. It was perfect.
I can definitely see myself stocking up on a few boxes of the Living Now Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour in the near future. It made making dinner bread, a whole lot easier.
And for my bakers out there, here’s the recipe for the Focaccia Bread…
