I don’t know if it’s because I just recently hit another birthday milestone..
or that my youngest daughter graduates from high school in a month..
But just the other day, while doing laundry.. I started to cry..
You see.. when my girls were growing up, it was easier to do all our laundry together.
I’d sort and separate and have 3 different laundry baskets to fill.
One for each daughter.. and one for the hubby and I
Well… now that my girls are older.. I’m only looking at
1 laundry basket..
This should make me rejoice right???
That means less laundry for me right??
BUT… that also means my girls are growing up..
that also means they don’t need me as much anymore..
that also means that one day it will ALWAYS be just one laundry basket..
I truly never thought the day would come where I would be sad to see less laundry..
It’s thrilling to see them becoming young adults.. it really is..
It brings me to tears to see how God has OVERWHELMINGLY blessed my husband and I with such wonderful daughters..
I know it will be fun and exciting to see where God takes them in the future..
But for now.. this mama’s heart is just a little sad over less laundry
How about you??
Have you gone through this yet?
