The Days After..

December 27, 2008 by Mikki 6 Comments

Are you feeling like me?

Do you feel like a beached whale? Or maybe the girl in Willy Wonka – all blow up and blue like a blueberry?

I don’t know about you, but after the past couple days of feasting on lots of yummies, I’m stuffed like turkey.. LOL.

So how was your Christmas?

Our was wonderful. Quiet this year. We just stayed home, just the four humans and two dogs. But it was nice. We missed being with family up in Maryland, but DID NOT miss the 40′ degree weather.

On Christmas Eve day I doubled my homemade Cinnamon Roll recipe and gave some pan full of yummies to our friends. These rolls are so amazingly good, but you can just feel them going straight to your hips.. LOL.

I only allow myself to make them once a year.

I am ready for a New Year. 2008 was pretty good, but I’m ready for a new start. I’m not sure why I consider just a change in dates a new start, but it’s a good excuse to give some new things a try and try some old things again.

I don’t have much to add. I’m actually sitting here avoiding paying bills and doing some laundry, so I guess I should get going on those.

Have a beautiful weekend!

    Yeah I’m with you. There is a little extra padding in the ol’ middle lol. But if we didn’t pig out what would our New Years Resolutions be?
    Hugs.

    We had a quiet Christmas, as well. And, for once, nobody overate. That was our gift to ourownselves. DS’s birthday is one week before Christmas, so his Black Forest cake was the real challenge. Homemade cinnamom rolls would have been all she wrote. 8-}

    Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^
