I recently joined up with an organic co-op and I’m truly LOVING all the delicious veggies and fruits I’m getting.
Before picking up my first order, I had grabbed a bag of organic apples at our local grocery store, not realizing I had ordered a bag through the co-op too.
So, not wanting the apples to go bad, I decided to try my hand at making a small batch of apple sauce in the crock pot.
This was definitely one of those moments where I thought…
why have I never done this before!
It was so easy! And now I have delicious, organic applesauce sitting in my fridge (well, I did till we ate it all )
So here ya go..
Easy Peasy Crock-Pot Applesauce
8 large cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced or cut into chunks
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Combine all your ingredients in a crock-pot
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Place apples in a food processor and blend till desired consistency.
