I’ve been meaning to sit down and write a review for this book over the past couple days, but every time I pick it up to bring it with me to my computer, I find myself sitting down with it and reading more and more.
Ever since my girls were little, my husband and I have tried really hard to have a natural approach to common sicknesses and issues in our family. That doesn’t mean that we never go to the doctor, but it does mean that when someone got sick or there were health issues that came about, we always went the holistic or natural cure way first.
is one book I would have LOVED to have in my arsenal back than, but I’m thankful I have now.
So much of our food knowledge is given to us in all these individual pieces. We watch something on TV or read something in an article but don’t know how to piece it all together.
Food Cures is written in such a way that it’s like having a one on one consultation with a professional nutritionist right in your home. Joy wants to show you how that our love hate relationship with food can be conquered by just putting the pieces of the food puzzle together.
I truly enjoyed Joy’s down to earth, simple way of explaining our issues with food.
“ We buy the ‘skinny jeans’ for the body we want to have, but then eat the comfort foods because those skinny jeans don’t fit anything but our dreams. Love/Hate – two sides of the same sneaky cookie” ~ Joy Bauer
Food Cures is a take home script from your very own personal nutritionist.
A focused four-step program that spells out everything you need to know to think and eat just like a nutritionist.
It’s not a sure thing – because Joy explains “ I’m only as good as my clients’ follow through”.. so if you want it to work.. she’s here to help.
