One of the things I know my blog is REALLY lacking in is good pictures.
A professional photographer I am not.. but I’m willing and eager to learn.
Well.. where’s there is eagerness.. there is opportunity… like reviewing Food Styling & Photography for Dummies.
I truly enjoy reading the FOR DUMMIES series of books. They are put together in such a way that… well.. a Dummy can understand just about anything.
This Dummy enjoyed flipping through the pages of this book and seeing all the amazing hints, tricks, and flat out THIS IS HOW YOU.. information that is packed in this book.
Stuffed with over 18 chapters and tons of sub chapters, Food Styling & Photography for Dummies is a great book for anyone that wants to learn how to make their food pictures leap off the page, or in the very least, make someone drool.
The book is organized in Five Parts.
- Part One: Introducing Food Styling and Photography
- Part Two: It’s all in the Presentation (Styling)
- Part Three: Shooting the Food: Techniques with the Camera
- Part Four And for Dessert: Managing Your Photos and More
- Part Five: Part of Tens
Each of these five parts is PACKED with tons of great information, pictures, tips, and even ‘techy’ stuff that you may or may not even want to know.
For a beginner or even a novice, when it comes to photographing food, Food Styling & Photography for Dummies is a great book to have and to study.
great review! sounds like a helpful book!
Added this to my amazon cart for Briannas bday in August.
