Being somewhat of a food blogger, I know having your recipes out there for the world to read is a lot of fun.
But something even better would be to have your recipe part of a cookbook.
With the Foodista Cookbook, 99 food bloggers got that chance.
Back in December of 2009, Foodista.com invited bloggers to submit their favorite recipes. In less than a year, in August of 2010, 99 winners were announced and were given the opportunity to have their recipes included in the “best of the best” collection.
Thanks to Andrews McMeal Publishing, I was able to review this delicious cookbook.
Filled with over 100 great recipes, photographs, and blogger personal stories, Foodista’s Best of Food Blogs Cookbook is a fun addition to any kitchen shelf.
As usual, I grabbed a cup of coffee and my small stick pads and went through, page by page, stickying recipes I wanted to try. Boy.. were there A LOT of stickyed pages.
I enjoyed this cookbook for many reasons. One being that you have a HUGE mix of recipes.
There are vegetarian, gluten free, international, and down home recipes.. all in one cookbook.
And you know I don’t review a cookbook without trying out a few recipes. So, when we had invited some dear friends over for dinner the other night, I chose two recipes from the book to try out.
Oh my!! This soup is YUMMYLICIOUS.
I’ve had a vegetable soup recipe that I’ve used for years, but this one will now take it’s place.
The soup is packed with tons of great flavors and so easy to make.
and for dessert I tried
I’m a chocolate lover by heart, but this cake sent me over the edge. It’s sooo amazingly moist. It just melts in your mouth with an unbelievable citrus heaven taste.
The whole dinner party gobbled up these goodies.
Foodista.com definitely picked some wonderful recipes to be in this cookbook.
And guess what..
