After getting multiple bids, we finally bite the bullet and ordered up some new AC units.
We actually couldn’t have home owners insurance if we didn’t replace them within an allotted time. Our home inspection said ‘the current units are lasting BEYOND THEIR LIFE expectancy’… so they needed to be changed out.
The AC handlers are actually up in the attic space. One for the front of the house and one for the back. The upstairs itself is heated and cooled with a Geo Thermo unit.. which I still have to do some research on.
So after looking over all the bids and the different guarantees and such that the contractors offered, we ended up going with ARS. Not only were they the cheapest, but they also offered over 10 different types of guarantees! Like.. if at any time within the 2 years, anything goes wrong with the system.. they come out and fix it for free!! Got to like that kind of deal!
The guys that came out to do the job were very professional and hard working. While I worked on cleaning the house, they worked at getting our new systems in.
The first one wasn’t so bad. They had a good amount of space to work with and it went pretty smoothly.
The second one was little bit more of a tight space, but they were able to get it done WITHOUT tearing down the wood paneling… darn… LOL. ( I was kind of hoping they would have to take it down )
Now I know replacement of AC units isn’t all that exciting, but for us.. it’s still part of the rehab, which makes it blog worthy..
Thanks for reading anyways… LOL.
