Back on this post, I explained to you about the ENOURMOUS Pergola that we inherited with this house.
Although it was quite beautiful.. it was, in my opinion, a bit overkill when it came to the size of it all.
And even though it was going to be a big project to accomplish.. my amazing hubby took it on.
He did about 98% of the work all on his own.
I was more than willing to help, but since A LOT of his time was spent balancing on the very TOP of ladders… I chose to stay inside. (it scared me to death watching him)
But after many weeks of hard work in the Florida heat.. we, well he, is pretty much done.
We went from this:
Two sections were lowered to chair rail height and the back two section roof/covering was torn down and rebuilt (it was originally not built well and was falling in).
There’s LOTS of landscaping to be done and decorative touches. But most of the hardest stuff is done.
I know I’ve said it before, by my hubby ROCKS! I am truly blessed!
One of the smaller things he was able to fix was the irrigation system that the previous owners had tried putting in for the along the roof/ceiling of the pergola.
Once the hubster got it all fixed.. he quickly wanted to test it out..
Yup. Works just fine.. LOL
He deserved this ‘SHOWER’ for a job well done
