This may seem like a weird question, but I’m going to ask it anyways..
If you’re answer is no, it may be because you have never held Let Us All Eat Cake by Catherine Ruehle in your hands.
When I sat down to look through my new copy, I just kept thinking with every turn of the page… Yum.. flip.. Yum.. flip.. Yum!
But seriously, this cookbook is not only packed with AMAZING recipes, it also has tons of beautiful pictures, wonderful notes about baking, and advice on how to make the most delicious, eye catching, Gluten Free (and vegan) cakes.
Having reviewed quite a few gluten free cookbooks, I often find it very frustrating when a recipe is often filled with ingredients I have never heard of before or don’t normally have in my pantry. Let Us All Eat Cake though, did not create that problem for me. Just about every recipe that I marked for ‘trying later’ actually had ingredients found right in my very own kitchen.
The cookbook itself is beautifully put together. Hardback and bound together well, I found it easy to use in the kitchen. I especially liked that there was not a lot of ‘talk’ at the beginning of the book. Catherine gets right into sharing all her wonderful recipes and intertwines her stories, helps, and hints through out the cookbook.
Catherine covers recipes from Breakfast, Snack, Coffee Cakes to Decorated Special-Occasion Cakes that will be sure to impress.
I, personally, am not a great baker… and when it comes to Gluten Free baking… ugh.. it get’s even worse. I even shared my baking flaws and fears on Instagram and was surprised and excited to get some encouragement and advice from Catherine herself!
