Yesterday I was on Facebook and stumbled across an article about a new 10 minute documentary film called Seeding Fear – The Story of Michael White vs Monsanto. I knew Monsanto was a scary company, but there was still so much more to learn about what lengths they will go to for the almighty dollar.
With a title like that I had to check it out.
Big Impact in Just 10 Minutes
I had a few moments before getting ready for dinner, so I went ahead and pulled up the movie on YouTube.
In just the first few moments I knew this was going to be a good film. Nothing fancy, no amazing graphics or dramatic effects. Just Michael White, in a smooth southern voice, standing over his fathers grave, telling the viewer how his father, who was in his 80’s, was sued by Monsanto for growing a crop her never grew.
“It destroyed his life”
“He went to this grave, still afraid of them (Monsanto)”
In just those 10 minutes, Michael shares with the viewer how Monsanto uses heavy-handed investigators and ruthless practices to go after farmers who use traditional farming methods like saving seeds and so much more.
What I most liked about this film is how Michael’s faith is his firm foundation and strength through all of his trials.
” I guess you could say God was the first farmer.. He created grasses, plants, herbs, and trees that would have seed in itself… meaning it would reproduce next year. “
Please take 10 minutes and watch this very moving documentary.
Pray for our country.
