My Glass Container Addiction

September 9, 2011 by Mikki Leave a Comment

I have what I call a ‘funky’ little pantry in my kitchen.

It’s basically a closet with no door with a window in it.

When we get to the point where we can do redo our kitchen.. I’m not sure what I’ll do with this space.

I like to sit down and go through my cookbooks in there..

Stand and stare at the snacks and figure out what I want to eat..

And now I just like to stand and look at all my cool jars and glass containers.

You see, with it being wide open, I had to come up with some creative ways to make it look nice but functional. It’s still a work in progress ( I don’t like the font on the labels I made).. but it sure is purty to look at..

It also gives me an excuse (like I needed another one).. to go to the local thrift shops looking for cool jars.

Very cute. I like all the different sizes and colors (from the contents). Okay, I guess it’s not all that much variety in the colors, but it’s still cool. 🙂

I wish my pantry looked like that! I love how that looks. All the clear jars with labels look chic.

LOVE those large glass jars with the metal lids! I have some definite pantry envy!

I love your pantry… and your font. Of course, I am not too particular on the font issue. My Brianna, the one who does blog design, is what I call a font snob. She is always looking at different fonts and commenting on them.

I love all your jars! I have the same addiction. It started with just neat old canning jars with zinc lids but now it’s any jar that I like! I use them to store just about everything, from choc chips to crackers to pasta! Love love love them! I don’t even have a walk in pantry, but when I open my cupboard it makes me happy!

I loved your glass jar’s collection. I like them also, although I don’t have that much. It’s great the final result. Congratulations.

Love the jars…I want to do it too…I think I will paint a strip on the lids or side of jar with chalkboard paint and use chalk to label them.
