The other day I realized something.
Over the past couple years, I have really changed how I look at the food that is brought into our house. I have a much better understanding and outlook about the things that I’m putting into my families bodies via our food intake.
Organic, local and fresh is what I’m always shooting for.
But than I started to realize that there are other areas of my life that I need to start taking a look at.
What about the what’s in the products I’m cleaning with and use that interact with my body? Like shampoo, detergent, mouth care?
At about the same time I started thinking about this, the nice people at Trusted Health Products contacted me and asked me if I would like to try their OraMD product. Pretty cool timing huh?? So, after a little bit of internet research, I decided to give it a try.
I started using the OraMd on a Monday morning so that I could give it a full weeks try.
At first the taste was kind of overwhelming (though the instructions that came with it said this might happen). It wasn’t a horrible taste, just very different than regular toothpaste.
It was also a little weird to be brushing my teeth without the foamy, toothpaste type stuff. OraMD is made up of botanical oils, not a paste, so you really don’t feel much.
It’s very simple to use, only a few drops needed. You brush as normal and than rinse.
I have to say that I noticed my mouth felt very clean and fresh after using OraMD. This surprised me because I didn’t really think it was going to do anything, but it actually works and my mouth felt clean for a long time.
Half way through the week, the hubster noticed I was using something different and was asking me about it. He wasn’t real eager to try it until a few days later.
You see the hubster struggles with sinus issues and this can lead to bad breath sometimes. So with a little encouragement I asked him to try this. He tried it that evening and was pleasantly surprised. When he woke up the next morning, he said his mouth and breath still felt and smelled pretty fresh. Again… I was pleasantly surprised.
After the week was over, we still found ourselves wanting to continue using OraMD. The unusual taste subsided after a few days and it was really enjoyable to use.
The only negative I can see about this product is the price. As most natural or good for you type products, the price is a bit high, but we’ve been using the OraMD for over about a month now and we still have a lot left over. Knowing it’s better for us and has no funky chemicals in it, may make it worth the investment.
