Planning Homeschool High School

July 28, 2008 by Mikki 3 Comments

This week I REALLY need to get on the ball and plan out our next year of high school.

I’m usually ahead of the game at this point, but for some reason I’m finding it hard to sit down and get myself organized in thought.

I wonder why?

We will be doing our first homeschool co-op this year! I’m really excited about this. It will be a great challenge for us as a family. My princesses will be stretched in their schooling, which is needed. Being accountable to someone else will keep them on their toes and challenge them in going beyond the ‘minimum’ of their schoolwork. At least that’s what I’m praying for.

My girls are actually going away this weekend on a youth trip, so I’m hoping that with a quiet house I will be able to concentrate and plan out our year and order all the necessary books.

But do you think with this kind of setting, I’ll be able to concentrate? LOL!

The other day I took out all my planning stuff and sat outside. It got REALLY hot in a short period of time, so before I knew it, I was no longer flipping through school papers, but soaking in the pool.

I think next time, I’ll stay inside.

No way I could do any planning in that wonderful setting! And with no kids around? You’ve got to be kidding lol. Good luck and keep cool.

Ha Ha! I have a tiny garden and we don’t get fantastic weather very often here in Ireland, so when we do, I like to sit outside.

However, I aqm not always able to read the Bible or concentrate enough to pray so I end up feeling guilty!

Now, I realise I must read and pray in doors FIRST and then just chill out and let my mind drift when I am out doors!

Enjoy what God has given you and don’t feel guilty.
