Life here hasn’t been all that exciting and thus not blog writing worthy. Not to say that I’m bored or have nothing to do. I just thought I’d spare you all the boring details. LOL.
Do any of you have memories of sitting in some distant relatives basement watching boring slide shows of people you hardly don’t even know and what they did on vacation??
I do. I remember going over to my grandparents house every once in a GREAT while and watching slide shows of the many trips they took ( thus the reason I considered them ‘distant’ relatives).
I remember sitting on the plastic ( yes, I said plastic) covered couches and listening to the quiet hum of the slide projector. I can also remember the clicking noise it made each time my grandfather would go to the next slide.
This to me is one of those memories that you could laugh to your belly hurt because it was SO painful that it was funny. There wasn’t even SOUND, just my grandfather talking about their trip.. though he was a man a few words so a lot of it was left up to the imagination.
And the couches!! Oh goodness. You couldn’t really lay down on them because the plastic was so slippery, you’d slide right off. So keep from sliding, you’d hang one leg off and plant your foot firmly on the floor to keep yourself on the couch.
Ahh… the good old days…
Why am I rambling on about this… I’m not really sure. It was just one of those memories that pooped into my brain as I sat down at the computer and so I decided to blog it..
