So much has been going on around our home lately, I’ve barely had time to do any real cooking. And I really LOVE to cook.
I watched Julie and Julia Saturday morning while cleaning and it was all I could do to keep myself from running out to the store to buy beef for Julia’s Beef Bouguignon.
But there just isn’t time for big, time-consuming meals for that right now.
There is time however to make some homemade Ranch Dressing.
I am REALLY getting tired of going to the store and reading all the JUNK ingredients in food. I just want to feed my family good, wholesome food that isn’t full of preservatives and artificial junk. But it’s just not possible these days to find this stuff easily.
But God works all things out for good. And the good in this is that I have put together a YUMMYLICIOUS recipe for homemade Ranch Dressing. No MSG, no artificial junk, just good yumminess.
Yesterday I made my second batch and my family is LOVING it. They put ranch on just about anything. Veggies, Tortilla chips, and they’ll even dip their pizza in it.
Homemade Ranch Dressing
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Cover and let chill for 30 minutes.. ( if your family will leave it alone)
