“” Life can be like a roller coaster…
And just when you think you’ve had enough,
and your ready to get off the ride and take the calm, easy merry-go round…
You change your mind, throw you hands in the air
and ride the roller coaster all over again.
That’s exhilaration…that’s living a bit on the edge…that’s being ALIVE.”

I don’t know who Stacey Charter is but I really like this quote. It pretty much sums up what I’ve been feeling lately.
Without going into a lot of detail, our family has been really praying over some big decisions lately. Although it’s been crazy going through it, I have to say that I can appreciate and understand the scripture that says.
6 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. – 1 Peter 1:6-7
Now our trials were not really on the Bon-Fire scale of testing, but maybe more on the slow burn end. Yet, through trials like this is when I CAN be truly glad.
I’m not truly glad every minute of every day through the trial. But when I get out of the chaos and craziness of it. Where I can sit and be still. That’s when I can truly be glad. Because it’s in those moments of being still where I hear God best.
During a wonderful discussion with our pastor the other day, he shared with us that he believes that God is not found in our emotions or chaos. God is found in the quiet. In the still moments.
It’s times like this, when the trials feel like a roller coaster, that life gets to be pretty interesting.
Right now the ride has come to a stop, but I’m sure we’ll be getting right back on.. with our hands in air.. Praising God the whole way!!
