As you can see, my supplement basket is quite full.
It’s packed with supplements and vitamins that both my husband and myself take on pretty much a daily basis. We have these because although we eat a mostly organic, plant-based diet, the nutrients in these vegetables are not as rich as they used to be over 50 years ago.
Overworked soils and the introduction of chemicals and pesticides (why we eat organic), can strip the nutrients out of the soil, causing the vegetables to not be as nutrient rich as they used to be.
Three Reasons Why I’m Taking Probiotics ~ PB8 Review
What Vitamins or Supplements Do I Take?
My choice of vitamins/supplements varies. Whether it’s extra Vitamin D and Vitamin C for the cold weather months or a good Iron supplement for when I’m feeling run down and lethargic, I try to listen to my body and go with what I think it needs.
There are certain minerals and oils that I take on a regular basis for general women’s health. Primrose Oil, Omega 3’s and Vitamin E with Selenium being some of those.
Recently though, the one that I have found to make a tremendous difference in my overall health is probiotics.
Three Reasons Why I’m Taking Probiotics
- My Gut is Extremely Happy – on my last post about probiotics, I listed ways that you could achieve a happy gut. I personally try to do all of them, but can honestly say that since taking the PB8 on a regular basis, my gut seems is happily doing it’s job because I’m adding in exactly what it needs to work well.
- My Immune System – Taking PB8 for me is a way to boost my immune system. Feeding my gut the good bacteria, allows it to function properly. This, in turn, allows my immune system to be at it’s peak.
- My Mood – Happiness – this almost seems a given. When you don’t feel good, it’s most likely you won’t be in the best mood. I know for a fact, that when my system is out of wack, I can be a little unpleasant. Taking PB8 helps me to feel good, which in turn, boosts my mood. Who wouldn’t want that?
There’s More To This Story
This trial of the PB8 Probiotics was for a three month period. I’m finishing up month two and I can honestly say I have enjoyed taking these. I have had no adverse effects and my gut system seems to be working in tip top shape.
Stay tuned. I’ll be back one more time to let you know how month three went.
