I’m joining in on the Happy Homemaker Monday a day late..
The weather :
Are you kidding me??
Now don’t laugh..
I know for most of you .. this type of weather is WARM for this time of year..
But 28’ degrees at night?? Oh my..
On my reading pile:
Joyce Meyer’s Love Out Loud 365 Daily Devotional
Accidental Bride by Denise Hunter
On my TV:
At some point this week I’m going to watch It’s a Wonderful Life – I realized today that I never actually got a chance to sit down and watch this movie over Christmas.. can’t have that now..
On the menu for this week:
Monday – Mahi Mahi, Quinoa & mixed veggies
Tuesday – Turkey & Dumpling soup
Wednesday – Veggie Shepherds Pie with Salad
Thursday – “Hamburger” Noodle Casserole (made with Crumbles) & veggies
Friday – Homemade Gluten Free pizza
On my to do list:
Work a few days this week, finish putting away Christmas decorations , redo my family home planner
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting, or creating:
A new look for the fireplace mantel – not sure if I want to do a ‘winter’ theme or just shoot for Valentines Day
Looking around the house:
It looks so empty and bare now that the Christmas decorations are gone
From the camera:
Something fun to share:
See the picture above. This owl and it’s mate greeted us Christmas morning. They stopped by for a morning drink
On my prayer list:
Praising God for His provision of an adorable new home for a dear friend
Bible Verse:
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” ~ John 14 NLT
IT is downright cold! I didn’t ask for this. I was perfectly happy with our unseasonably warm weather. LOL!
Your menu sounds like something I would make for the week. YUM!
And cool owl picture. It looks like he’s looking right at you!
Stay warm!
Kim
Yum, Mahi Mahi is one of my favorites 🙂
Love the pic too, what a cool owl 🙂
We’ve been complaining because it has been too warm. When it is winter… I like it to be winter. Actually, yesterday and today it is finally normal temperatures but I hear it will be in the 50’s come Friday.
