But do you ever struggle to keep your armor attached. To keep the shield of Faith in front of you and the sword of Spirit held high?
That’s how I’m feeling this day.
It was wonderful to gather in God’s house and be surrounded by my family in Christ. Singing songs of worship and praise to our heavenly Father, but I couldn’t stop the tears from falling.
And what bugs me the most is that at the same time I was feeling weary, friends and family members were brought to mind that have MUCH MUCH bigger issues their dealing with then me. I kept thinking..
‘Lord, this is so silly. You have truly truly given me SOO much, so why do I feel so miserable?’
‘Why, when there are friends who are childless who would be great parents, when there are friends who are financially scrapping by, when there are family members who STILL don’t know you as their Savior… WHY are my thoughts so wrapped around my issues?’
My Lord is wonderful. He let’s me cry out. He allows me to be confused. He loves me and knows that at the end of myself… I will find HIM.
I still put on the armor of God.
Though it may not be polished and looking sharp, it’s still there.
I shall continue to fight. The enemy WILL NOT win.
He shall be bound and shaken as I claim the name of Jesus Christ and the power that holds.
Though this solider is a bit weary, I know in due time.. in HIS time.. I will be renewed, refreshed, and restored! PRAISE THE LORD!!
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
