If you read Part One and Part Two of what’s been going on around our home lately, you’ll know that we are getting ready to move.
If all goes well, we will be closing at the end of the month (if not sooner) and we are REALLY excited.
A little history on our house ( as much as I know so far )
Constructed about 1913 for a Latin scholar who taught at Stetson University, the house is conceptually Frame Vernacular in style, but displays many features commonly associated with early bungalow designs. One of the owners dismantled an old barn belonging to their grandfather and paneled the upstairs rooms. A double mantel in the living room is unusual.
I found this while doing a Google search. The home was at one time on a Christmas Tour of Homes that is done here in our home town.
I REALLY want to bring back it’s beauty and character.
I’ve checked out a few books at the library about bungalow homes and now I’m going CRAZY with all kinds of ideas..
I’m open to PR/Sponsorship ideas if any home improvement companies are interested
