We’ve been using the YNAB software for about a month now.
At first, it was a little difficult to get used to.
But once I got a chance to really play around with it and research a little online for help, it became easier and easier to use.
Monthly outlook on your budget – you can see where you spent your money last money compared to this month and vice versa
Easy budget and category set up – I even just recently had to add a category to my budget and it was a piece of cake to do
Not a lot of ‘extra’ stuff you have to navigate around
Doesn’t operate like a checkbook register – there’s no way to officially reconcile your account. Do people not do this anymore? I REALLY wish they would update with that capability
Screen not always user friendly – I think they try to keep too much on one screen. Sometimes I run out of room when doing a Split Category and I have trouble getting it to scroll down and have more room
So to sum it up..
There are both Pro’s & Con’s to YNAB and in my opinion… the Pro’s out weigh the Con’s.
This software is a keeper for our family.
